God’s Existence

Before you ask, yes, God is absolutely REAL. Mark it down on your calendar the day you found out that the Lord’s existence is certain and authentic. God’s existence/essence is true and evident in nature. My readers, I would like us to have a deep discussion about the existence of God. Now, I do not claim to be an expert about God but I do speak from the heart/soul. I believe that to be sufficient enough.

Before I begin – I would like to inform you all that I was not always a firm believer in His existence. In the beginning of this journey of spiritual enlightenment in and of the Lord, there was some doubt creeping in. How can an invisible Spirit know about my future and create this world that we know as Earth? How can this invisible Spirit know my ever move, my every thought? I felt guilty because why would I begin this journey in the first place if I wasn’t so confident in the Lord? But now and thankfully, that doubt is 100% non existent. I solemnly believe in the Lord, despite Satan’s efforts in trying to make me feel uncertain about Him. Not only has God’s existence been felt throughout my spirit and life but I see the good He is doing in the lives of other people. And please, I ask that you keep an open mind for what will be written in this discussion…. So is God real? Yes!

If you haven’t already, please go check out The Essence of Life. This was my first post ever and I laid out the foundation of what encompasses this thing we call life. This current post is more of a elaboration, when it comes to discussing God, His existence and evil forces. Let’s get started, shall we?

Evidence

Have y’all ever thought about the complexities and the different functions our body is made up of? The heart, lungs, kidneys, eyes, liver, etc., these internal organs all serve a purpose. They each are designated to perform certain tasks. The way our bodies are set up…. its seems.. complicated, doesn’t it? Who or what designed our bodies and these organs to work together as one?

Our DNA consists of MANY different components and it plays an important part in shaping who we are as individuals. Our DNA is complex/unique and contains many molecules that we know to be nucleotides. And nucleotides are made up of 3 components that includes a nitrogenous base, deoxyribose, and a phosphate group. Since this is not a biology class, I’ll stop it here. But the more we dissect our bodies, the more advanced it gets.

Or what about plants and photosynthesis? They are able to produce their own food with the help of sunlight (chlorophyll) and carbon dioxide. During photosynthesis, plants are able to release oxygen and in turn, humans and animals are able to breathe that in. I won’t get into much detail but it’s an interesting cycle.

I write this to further prove that the Lord exists because these things are so hard to comprehend for the average person. It seems bizarre. There had to be a Designer behind our bodies and the world we know today. Who set the world up like this? Furthermore, some things in science and in this world simply cannot be explained… There are always mysteries and undisclosed secrets about certain events that may be controversial in nature. The complexities of life is intriguing because there is so much that we simply do not know.

Furthermore, there has to be a force that is in control – a force that is making the world tilt on its axis (if our Earth was to shift ever so slightly to its left or right, we’ll have no seasons. It’s coordination has to be top notch). A force that is able to make the sun go up and down.

There must be a Designer that gave some of us blue eyes and others a chiseled jawline. The beautiful rainforests full of exotic animals that have not been seen by the majority of the world. In addition, we haven’t even explored 95% of the world’s oceans yet!! We do not know what is out there. The world is huge – full of hidden surprises and unexplored territories. There is simply no other explanation for that besides the Lord Himself and His creativity in all things.

The machineries, properties, and things that are built/designed by people include but are not limited to cars, houses, phones, furnitures, etc. There was no “big bang” involved. Things do not magically appear in place without a Being behind that very creation. Without the calculations, resources and the intelligence of the Creator, these creations simply will not exist because they were never designed and/or implemented. All in all, there is a designer behind everything we see. The Earth and the Solar System is all the evidence we need to know that there is a Mighty Force out there. The Solar System had a beginning. It came INTO existence, it was not always here.

Question

Quick question – before we go to sleep, do we pray? Don’t we all pray for protection and guidance from the Lord? Not only for us but for our friends and family? Or do we just call it a night and sleep without a second thought? I didn’t start to pray everyday until my 22nd birthday. Before then, I would pray sporadically and sometimes I forget to pray because I was too sleepy. Either way, the Lord blessed me to see another day – even if I did or did not commit to Him day in and day out. He was always faithful in giving me another chance at life. But how can we confirm God’s existence?

As specified above, His Designer touch is seen everywhere! Have you seen the beauty in this world?

The Waterfalls, Grand Canyon, Nature, Islands, Volcanoes, the animals, the Sky, Clouds, Sunset, Stars, our Solar System, Oceans, etc. Even in picture, they are magnetic – I can only imagine how truly wonderful it would be to witness these scenic views firsthand. The Earth is full of beauty. Even when we come across beautiful people, we are in awe. A chiseled structured face, a strong body, nice fade haircuts and long luscious beards, Amazonian goddesses, radiant smile, graceful walk, long full straight or curly, afro hair, an innocent heart and a pleasing personality…. (Not an exhaustive list and not MY definition of beauty, just pointing out various physical features that may be interpreted as beauty).

Or what about a woman who carries a whole HUMAN in her belly for nine months? Imagine babies being produced because a sperm meets an egg? HUH?? Isn’t it humanly INSANE that that is how we are formed? These are one of many blessings from God. God’s existence and His hands are in all things. The hair on our backs are numbered. He knew us before we were born. Our death has been pre recorded in His book. The Lord knows when and where we will take our last dying breath. He knows the challenges that we will all face. He knows the kind of people we will come across in our lifetime. When and if we will give our life to Him. Who will reject Him. He knows who will fall victim to this sinful world because of our Sinful Nature. Who will glorify Satan and be involved in evil, deceitful schemes. The Lord knows all things. The Lord either allowed something to happen or was the direct cause of it – for reasons unbeknownst to us.

Another Question

For my people who do not believe in the afterlife…. Why? Why do you think that after this physical life, there is nothing after that? Wouldn’t our lives be pointless? Never to be reunited with our friends and family because our physical life is the only thing to live for?

That is why hope and Faith in God is extremely important. We hope to be successful in life. We hope to find the love of our life one day. The faith in ourselves will push us to succeed despite the odds. We hope that our parents are able to grow old and die peacefully. Our hope in a better future for ourselves and kids, drives us to work long hours to make good money. If we hope in all these things, why is it so hard to put our hope in God? He is the Creator of the Universe – but yet we rather have hope in His creation rather than the Spirit behind it all. Our hope should be entrusted in the Son of the Living God, who rose from death on the third day and now sits at the right Hand of the Father. Those who believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. To receive Him is the biggest blessing that we can ever encounter in this life.

There are some of us in this world who question God’s existence because of how the world is. We question whether He cares at all because of all the evil that surrounds us on a day to day basis. There are children starving. People who are senselessly murdered. Evil people who make it to the top, while the good ones are left to suffer. Children/adults who are sexually assaulted by family members and/or strangers. Children/adults who are kidnapped and sold into sex trafficking. Homelessness. Violence. Dangers. Unfortunate accidents. People who die young. Conflicting feelings about life… whether to end it all or not.

Believe me, I know a little about this world we live in. Hope seems like a luxury we cannot afford. All of these trials and tribulations makes up the essence of life… well the negative parts. What is the point? “Bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people.” My friends, if that is our attitude, nothing good will come of it. Let us not forget that Jesus Christ Himself was persecuted by His own people. He was without sin and came into this world to save us and reclaim His power from death. If the world was cruel to Him for no reason, why wouldn’t the world be cruel to us? Think about it. We are sinful people by nature. Our lust for people, money and power, drives us to commit dishonorable things.

Even when we were children, we were chastened by our parents to not lie, steal, bully, swear, etc. We made/make mistakes. We deceive others to get ahead. This world is full of people who are only looking out for themselves. There has never been a righteous person to ever walk the face of this Earth. Not Noah. Jacob. David. Abraham. Never. Their faith in God made them righteous, yes, but not their physical nature or their physical abilities. They had profound faith in God’s existence and in Him, so they were deemed righteous by God. ONLY Jesus Christ Himself is the only righteous, sinless person to ever walk this Earth. There will never be anyone like Him ever again.

Side note : Let’s talk for a minute about positive attributes that most of us are blessed with. Being loving, caring, forgiving, empathetic and sacrificial are characteristics that makes us genuine. In a world full of evil and deception, how is it still possible that most of us are affectionate and supportive individuals? Because of God. Because God is love and He blessed us with these traits. These traits brings about unity and peace, which is desperately needed in this era that we are currently living in.

Experiences

We will definitely go through things that will make us feel like we hate God. Or even make us question His existence. Our experiences will make us bitter. Granted, there are experiences that are well justified to make us not like God at the moment because we think it is His fault. Heck, it might very well be. I don’t know. We should not lean towards our own understanding because God’s ways are incomprehensible. We do not know why He allow things to happen. Our feeble minds cannot fathom what the Lord is doing or did. Only time will tell why things turned out the way it did. Yes, we go through unimaginable, unspeakable things but it is not without reason.

My readers, I do not mean to anger you by my assessment. I’m just trying to juggle my thoughts together as I write them down.

Sin encompasses this whole world. People are made victim by the sinful nature of other people. The Lord knows that my heart goes out to those who experienced or are experiencing sexual abuse. I feel like that is one of the most damaging things to ever go through. I cannot even begin to fathom the thought of having my body violated by someone I trust or by a complete stranger. The emotional, psychological, and mental trauma might be too much for me to endure. I can only imagine what it feels like…. I am EXTREMELY sorry to anyone who has ever gone through or is going through such an experience.

Honestly, words cannot begin to precisely explain how sorrowful I am about why these sinful acts take place all over the globe. I have no right to talk about sexual abuse because I personally never been through it nor am I an expert on the subject. But I do know people who have gone through sexual abuse and everyday is a struggle. However, I do know other people who are stronger than ever and are standing firm in their truths. It varies.

Believe me, God is heavy hearted when He sees that His children are going through such abominable and detestable acts. His revenge on these predators will be mighty. If we come to Him with our feelings, God knows how and when to repay back our enemies. The timing might feel like it is taking forever, but the Lord knows when to act at the precise moment. The Lord does not give us more than what we can bear. Even those of us who succumbed to our afflictions, we were strong enough to withstand them until we decided that we couldn’t any longer. The things we go through molds us into who we are now. The good and the bad. There is no escaping the trying conditions we are faced with on a continuous basis.

It makes sense.

Since we live in a God forsaken world, we are destined to go through atrocities brought upon us by sin. Evil is everywhere. There is evil in our hearts. Souls. Mind. Actions. It takes God Himself to reach down from Heaven and pull us out of our hateful existence.

However, we must remember that things are temporary. What we are going through is not for a lifetime. What we are suffering through, will not last forever. Our heartache will decrease as time goes by. The pain will subside or at least be manageable as time goes by. The Lord knows our pain. He knew the challenges that we will face. Perseverance is essential in getting back up when down and continuing to march forward. I commend those of us who are able to sustain themselves through tumultuous times. Y’all are amazing. The Lord definitely has His Grace upon you.

Only the Lord knows if I would ever recover if I ever had to go through any form of violent abuse. My conscience is hyper sensitive and I don’t think I’m capable of regaining my confidence if I ever had my peace violated. That is why I am in awe when strong spirited folks are able to not let what happened to them, control them. Y’all are magnetic forces of energy! The devil tried to tear you down but y’all wouldn’t budge. Y’all are really inspirational – believe me. That is one of my reasons as to why I believe in God. His grace is displayed through those who bounced back from the worst. They have every reason to be evil/resentful but they’re not. They have every reason to destroy anything in their paths but don’t. When evil came knocking at their doors, they remained graceful.

For some of us who have been through a murder in the family… those who were/are affected by the death of a loved one have every reason to seek revenge but didn’t. They could’ve let darkness cloak them in hate but they did not. Y’all are the real MVPs. The grace of God is shown through His toughest warriors. To be able to remain genuine in the face of evil is remarkable. Thank you for being so strong my brothers and sisters. God’s very existence is confirmed when we see His warriors become victorious!

When life gets hard because we are faced with financial difficulties, a divorce, broken family, a death in the family, a missing loved one, etc, we sulk around distraught. Sometimes we drown the pain with alcohol. Drugs. Prostitutes. Or sometimes, we commit suicide. But sometimes, we find ourselves going to Church as our last resort….

We are looking for something to keep us going. Something that can take the pain away. Then when we hear the Preacher preaching a sermon that correlates with what we’re going through – it hits home HARD. We are overwhelmed with emotions. We feel their sermon in our spirits. Our bodies starts to feel hot. The people within the Church are comforting us with love and sympathy. We feel the Lord’s Presence because of how strong His love is for us. Unbeknownst to you, that was God Himself who brought you to Church. There was a voice that led you to Church as your last option. And then when we emerge out of that service, we are more alive than we have ever felt in a LONG time. We start to feel and be hopeful for better days to come. That is God redirecting us to Him.

God’s Voice

God speaks in many ways. Sometimes His voice is so loud, we cannot drain it out. Trust me, after that special service, we would want to give our lives to God. He did not forget about us.

There is an indescribable amount of blessings waiting to be bestowed upon us if we allow God to work through and in us. That is a proven FACT. When we cry out loud for God to save us – He hears us. In the upcoming days or even within that same hour, we will begin to feel His Presence. He will NEVER forsake us. God’s existence is profoundly felt. Then all of a sudden, we are experiencing new growth. We are able to land that new job. We’re healing expeditiously. We meet people who light a spark within us. There is a change brewing within our soul. We want to do good and be the strength for others who are going through similar conditions as ourselves. Optimism becomes a natural feeling in our lives.

It is obvious when we have been touched by the grace of God. You will notice it and the people around you will notice it too. It is telling. God knows what we need at that exact moment. After a while, when we sit back and try to process what just happened, we realize that God was working. We start to see His goodness. Then we become grateful. Extremely grateful. There are millions of stories out there that are similar to what I described above. Millions. Breakthroughs are on the way. Trust in Him. Stay faithful. Optimistic.

Good things are bound to happen because God is good. I have experienced His grace. I am still experiencing His grace. The Lord knows I don’t deserve a quarter of the blessings He graced me with. I really don’t. I’ve done a lot of wrongs that still make me cringe when I think about it. I do not deserve God and His merciful nature. It moves my heart to tears when I think about all that He has done for me. My friends, please do yourself a favor and talk to God. He is always listening. Pray that God searches your heart so He can turn you away from wicked ways. Ask to feel His Presence in your life. Ask that He forgives you and save you from the grips of sin.

The number one thing that God wants us to do is love Him. He wants us to have fellowship with Him. All of what I’m saying will only ring true to you if you have faith. If you have faith in the Lord, you will feel what I’m saying in your soul. The Lord only needs you to have a little faith in Him and He’ll do the rest! All we need is a drop of faith and from there, God enters and He becomes a constant presence in our lives. Even when we feel like He is so far away, He is one prayer away. Believe me, the presence of the Lord is undeniable. The fire in your soul and in your spirit, will make you understand that there is a God. The Almighty Lord knows when and how to make an entrance in our lives. All of the times when we walk home from school or we made it safe to a destination without being kidnapped, killed or ran over, do we ever think that there was a possibility that something evil was lurking in the distance? Do we ever stop to think that MAYBE if I had lingered around that certain place for a minute longer, I would’ve been toast? Or avoiding a certain place because a feeling of dread washed over us? How many times have we avoided danger without realizing it? My guess is a 1000 times. We don’t even know the lengths the Lord goes through to keep us safe and we take our blessings for granted. The fact that our family are still here with us and in good health is one of the many blessings to rejoice to. It could’ve easily gone the other way. Just think about that once in a while.

Moving on.

I just recently discovered a Pastor online and he goes by the name Tony Evans. Some of you may know him. Others do not. There was a sermon that made me believe that God was the reason why I stumbled upon his video on YouTube that day. It was a random video. I will give a little snippet of what the sermon was all about in the next paragraphs below. If interested and you would like to watch the video in its entirety – https://youtu.be/DIRTk92Meng .

To begin, you know how people can talk to us about an issue that we have but we don’t take their advice? They are offering suggestions about what we can do to fix our problems but in the end, we ignore it all?

Let’s take our parents for example. When they try to discipline us and rebuke the bad things we do, we do not listen to them. We cannot take corrections because we are too stubborn. We do not care for what they have to say. That is the same attitude we have with God. My fellow readers, God allows disruptions to happen in order to draw attention back to Him. Like when we find out our parents were right all along, we apologize and try to listen to them after that. God is the same way. He is not someone that we can keep on the sidelines and only call upon Him when we need Him to do something.

We shouldn’t call upon Him for selfish reasons. Wanting a certain job or a desire to obtain a certain goal. That is not fair. You see, God allows disruptions in our lives because He is trying to correct what is wrong. He is speaking to us and He wants us to listen. When things go wrong or unexpected, our attention goes back to God. We try to figure out why this had to happen. But when we are still stubborn and we do not come back to God, that is when He shakes things up. Tony Evans gives an analogy of regurgitating – to compare the disruptions of the Lord.

When we feel sick inside, its a disruption in our system. Something is not right and we feel it. We try to hold back that vomit. Let it out! And when we do, don’t we feel so much better? Isn’t there a sense of relief? Now everything is peaceful right? Listen to your body. When something is not right, our system lets us know. We need a separation from that thing that is causing an issue. When we finally listen, give in and let ourselves vomit up the problems, the problems are no more.

Listening to God and redirecting our attention back to Him is important. When we try to ignore His existence and teachings, He will chasten us. When we ignore all warnings and rebuking because we want to do our own thing, God has a way of getting our attention. The more we ignore, the more severe the situation becomes.

Tony Evans gives another example of women going through labor pains. It is not because God is trying to punish women but it’s because there is a life that is about to emerge from within. The emergence of life is something positive. Things must get worse (the labor pains) before they get better. Once, the baby is brought into the world, it is a positive thing that unites a family. At the end of every suffering, comes joy and/or peace. God is making a correction.

For example, let’s take George Floyd’s unfortunate Death. ALL states within the U.S. and 18 countries were collectively protesting against police brutality and better treatment for black people when it comes to justice and equality. We want the killing of unarmed and/or innocent black people to stop and for those who commit such acts, be held accountable for their actions. People all over the world were able to work together for a cause, regardless of race, class and gender. That is God in the works. The fight for peace, is a fight that every single one of us should partake in – irrespective of our backgrounds. Unfortunately, something bad had to happen in order for something positive to come out of it. New guidelines, legislations, etc are now in place because of our fight for peace. On top of that, the #BLACK LIVES MATTER movement is historically the biggest movement ever! Amazing. Furthermore, it does not matter what you look like, just as long as we are fighting for a good cause and aiming at the same direction. Of course, there were people who used this cause as a means to loot stores, but that is not out of the ordinary. The message and the moral of the protest is more important than what a few bad apples are doing. Bottom line, the things we go through are not coincidences.

God has a plan behind EVERYTHING. Even when demons and bad people surround us, God is still protecting us from it all. If the Lord stood back and let the world reach its full potential of evil, none of us will survive. God’s existence will surely be missed immensely. Our sufferings will be long lasting without any good days to come. The good things that we do experience in this God forsaken world, is because of God Himself.

We were all made for a reason. Whether that is to be a blessing to others and/or for people to be a blessing to us. We try to make others happy because we are not all soulless. We have a soul. Yes, we do have a sinful nature but if we want to change, we need deliverance. God will deliver us from the chains of sins. He promised us in His Bible. If God does not fulfill His promise, He is a liar. Is the Lord Almighty a liar? Certainly not! He is perfect in all of His ways. He is pure. Any blessing that we receive was because of the Lord’s graceful nature.

To wake up in the morning everyday is a blessing. To be breathing right now is a blessing. The Lord did not have to wake us up. My friends, just remember that every second we are living, we are DYING DAILY. That every breath that is exiting out our bodies, the Lord did not have to give it back. The Lord is the giver of life so He can take as He please. Being more grateful to Him and giving Him all the glory is the least we can do, in my humblest opinion.

He is a long suffering God. Meaning, even in our wicked ways, He is still waiting for us to turn back to Him. The Lord keeps giving us chances to receive Him. He is willing to endure our sinful ways because He loves us. That is the core of God’s existence – His love. Me on the other hand, I can never be God…

I would never want to be God. If I was seeing a child molester or murderer do what they do, I will definitely strike them dead on the spot. Or even before they get the chance to commit such atrocities. Scratch that, I would not give them a chance at life. That is why I do not deserve to be God. The fact that these murderers, rapists, pedophiles, etc, are still breathing, ironically shows how good God is. Any one of us would’ve cut their lives short but not God. Sometimes He does though…. we never know.

Nevertheless, He is good. His thinking is higher than our thinking. His ways are higher than our ways. To even try to comprehend God and His ways, is a dead end. We will never understand them because we are merely humans. We are finite beings. God is eternal. There is no possible way to conceive how God works. It’s impossible. It is much easier to rid God of His existence and pretend He does not exist because we want to enjoy our sinful ways. We don’t like the idea of having to answer to anyone about the way we live(d) our lives. We don’t like the idea that we all will be judged based on what we do and did with our lives. So because of that, we force ourselves to believe God’s existence is a myth.

The fact that we have to FORCE ourselves to believe that God’s existence is a myth, is all the proof we need to know that there is one. No one will go to great lengths to deny God if he or she didn’t believe there was a chance that He exists. Denying God’s existence, makes it easier to live in sin. Sin is so enticing. The money, greed, lust, and power is so attractive. We want it all. By any means necessary. That is our nature. To turn to God is to fight against this very nature. That is an ongoing battle until the day we die. To follow God is to reject human nature. It is a battle against the flesh. Sometimes we fall victim to sin. Heck, I still do. Sometimes we redeem ourselves. It happens. We are not exempt from it. Not even hard core Christians. We all have temptations that we fight off everyday. But one thing should remain constant. Our faith and love for God. Through His grace, we will be victorious because greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world (Satan). Our faith in God is our redeeming grace. To believe in God’s existence is to acknowledge His essence.

Everything that we’ve been through – has a purpose. Nothing happens to us that was not either directly influenced by God or allowed by Him. Some of our burdens are heavier than others. Some of our sufferings are much more severe than others. The same thing goes for blessings. A specific situation taught us a lesson. It’s The Essence of Life. 🙂

We win some, we lose some. We experience sadness. Loss. Happiness. The devil tries to destroy us to make us believe God is the reason for our problems because he hates God. He wanted to be like God. God’s existence terrifies him. When He was casted out of Heaven for his misdeeds, he turned his anger towards God’s greatest creation – Us. He convinced one third of God’s angels to turn against Him so they can bring Him down – to no avail. Satan and his demons are now hellbent to bring woe to the Lord’s beloved creation. These demonic forces wanted to take the Lord’s throne but failed miserably. Now these demons will try to make their throne here on Earth by blinding people in their sinful ways. Making it so they will never see the light or glory of the Lord. These demons know when we start to realize who God is and His saving nature by the way we live our lives and as a result, their plan has been compromised. We do not want to feed the flesh anymore. We want to uplift our spirit – with the help of God. Trust me, that is when the attacks gets worse. I know. But God will help us through our trials and tribulations. God knows what we can handle. God will never forsake us. Please, my fellow readers, try to talk to and with God. Seek the Lord and you’ll find Him.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING THIS LOOOONG BLOG. It was a lot to take in and digest. Trust me, this blog took me several hours to think up and type. You may leave questions, comments and/or suggestions if you so choose. God bless.
